Plenty of places marketed as resorts near Kolhapur are an hour out, down unpaved approach roads with nothing around them. We're 20 km from the city on paved state road the whole way, at 3,177 ft, with Panhala Fort and a town on our doorstep.

How far is the hotel from Kolhapur city?
About 20 km, roughly 30 minutes by car from Kolhapur Bus Stand on a paved road the whole way. Rankala Lake is around 32 minutes, and Kolhapur Airport about 45 minutes.
